Weddings

The Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat was a perfect location and facility for our dream wedding.

Having exclusive use of the property from Friday night was an excellent idea. The festivities began with a 'meet and greet' bar-be-que, and continued on until Sunday afternoon. We and our 100 guests, who came from far and wide, had plenty of time to catch up and really enjoy one another in a most relaxing, natural and picturesque environment.

The 30 campers and those who had the pleasure of staying in the most attractive and comfortably appointed lodge and cabins appreciated the well-presented and maintained facilities including the swimming pool, bar-bar-que and laundry. Self-catering, according to all the cooks, was a pleasure with the more than adequate kitchen facilities.

Having the ceremony in the hushed reverence of the 'Bush Cathedral' was truly a highlight. Its natural beauty and magnificence could never be surpassed with the usual man-made fripperies. Celebrating afterwards on the 'Outlook Platform' overlooking Kangaroo Valley at sundown further enhanced this wonderful occasion. We have great memories and photos of our guests dancing in the rain that balmy evening even though there was plenty of undercover area! It is said to be of 'Good Fortune' to have rain on your wedding day!

We are currently enjoying an extended honeymoon in Canada and returning to Australia in January. Thank you to the team at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat for providing this amazing facility and we would be delighted to recommend what we feel is "Our Special Place" to others.

I am writing to thank the team at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat for making our wedding day so special. When we first inspected the property we fell in love with the idea of exclusive use of the entire property for all our friends & family and the use of the bush cathedral for the ceremony and viewing deck for cocktail that followed while watching the sun go down.

It was a great idea to get out of town- so much better for our friends & family to have a get together the night before the wedding with lots of fun around the fire pit; it was a great way to get to know each other. My husband is from UK so it was fantastic for his family to enjoy the time in this truly unique picturesque setting. Because KVBR is in a bush setting so peaceful & calming we were all more relaxed and ready for the big day.

So our event was not just a wedding it was truly a fun weekend with a bush experience. We also had a great recovery brunch the following day we would be very happy to recommend Kangaroo Valley Bush retreat.

I would like to thank the staff at KVBR they made our stay in May 2008 a great experience. Our stay was in the lodge and we conducted our executive conference in the function room. We found the environment truly relaxing the staff very friendly. The quality & presentation of the food was great as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and had a ball playing table tennis & volley ball. We will be coming back next year.

We found the staff very welcoming and professional & accommodating. The location was great the views spectacular and we got excited when we spotted the wild life. The bush walks are great but we must remember to take a map next time. The venue was well priced & good value. I would like to thank the staff again they were very adaptable and the service was outstanding, nothing was a problem. We used the function room for our conference during the day & in the evening our staff used the same space for our music session. We could make as much noise as we liked we loved the fire pit and found it very warm even though it was July. Thanks again.

Kennard's Self Storage has used the venue for over 3 years and every experience has been unique and very satisfying for the attendees and organisers. It is the combination of incredible bush land and modern facilities that makes it 'stand out from the crowd' from other, run of the mill corporate venues. Would highly recommend it!
