I am still in the process of sending out thank you’s to all involved in such a awesome weekend.  Mark was a constant help and source of information which directed us to the best of catering and music.  Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat worked brilliantly from many points of view.  Firstly the 85 guests drove 3 hours south which transformed them from work to holiday mode.  Guests arriving on Friday evening were immediately comforted by the excellent food and warmed by the blazing function room fire.

Saturday worked well with guests making most of walks, canoeing, and shopping.  The afternoon was devoted to children’s games including the treasure hunt.  It all came together with champagne on the deck and a spectacular sunset.  When mother nature puts on a show it is hard to beat and certainly set a festive mood which carried on through the night.  We were privileged to have Katrina’s catering with many discerning tongues waxing lyrical about the food and service.  A rock and roll band, hilarious speeches, and bon fire until 4am finished off the last of the revellers.

The kids enjoyed the weekend as much as the adults with many tears about having to go home.  In addition to the games we organised, the children road bikes, played mock wars, and roamed from cabin to cabin with a freedom they generally don’t have at home.

In all it was a tremendous success and shall be remembered as one of life’s highlights.

We recently found a perfect venue at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat, We could not have asked for a more tranquil setting and a very special weekend with all our friends and family.

We chose a caterer from the area “Catering in Kangaroo Valley” and the food was exceptional.

Katrina Endean was a pleasure to deal with (and very flexible with a few changes in numbers due to our short timeframe for planning), the quality of the food was first class and there was plenty of it.

The preparation, presentation and service was also top class and very friendly. We would highly recommend Katrina to anyone planning a celebration in the Kangaroo Valley area.

A little note to say a huge big “Thank you” to you all for making our family reunion at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat such a memorable one. We had an awesome week-end staying in the lodge and all the cabins. The accommodation and all the facilities were wonderful. The kids loved riding their bikes and played in the open areas which gave the adults more time to relax.

In all respects, our expectations were exceeded. To have full use of the entire retreat and its 100 acres, we felt as if we owned the place. The family reunion was a very happy occasion and I certainly have no hesitation in highly recommending the Bush Retreat to anyone wanting a weekend of fun.

Just wanted to tell you what an absolutely fantastic time we had at the Bush Retreat. It was such a wonderful experience to share your little piece of heaven with all our guests.

Everyone commented on what a fabulous birthday party weekend was had by all, young and old. I would especially like to thank Mark & Githa for making our stay totally enjoyable.

We had free run of the place and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. The outdoor “boma” was a huge hit. We would definitely come back.

Just wishing to say a massive big thank you for the wonderful time we had celebrating our joint birthday weekend away at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. All our friends, around 30 adults and 20 children, had a fabulous stay and the beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities helped ensure a great time was had by all.
